Job summary

Stord is seeking its first SDET leadership hire to set test automation standards, AI-assisted testing, and a scalable framework across UI, API, and Kafka surfaces.

As a hands-on leader, you'll hire and mentor a small team, align with R&D, and partner with SRE to ensure production parity and reliable testing at scale.

Qualifications

• Design and ownership of a Playwright-based test framework from scratch.
• Ability to wire automated tests into CI/CD to block bad releases.
• Experience leading SDET teams and hiring for technical strength.

Responsibilities

• Hire and build the SDET team, setting the technical bar.
• Define framework standards, tooling, and direction early.
• Establish what 'tested' means before UAT and uphold it.
• Lead AI-assisted test generation and governance.
• Own E2E framework across UI, API, and event-driven surfaces.
