Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) seeks an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test II (SDET II) to build reliable, scalable automation for PlayStation subscription and streaming experiences. You will own testing for assigned features, contribute to technical solutions, and partner with multiple teams to embed quality throughout the development process.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of experience in Software Development Engineering in Test or related QA roles.
Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Swift.
Experience developing automated tests and working with test automation frameworks.
Experience testing APIs, backend services, web apps, or mobile apps.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and improve automated testing solutions for subscription services, apps, and platforms.
Take ownership of quality engineering activities from test planning to automation and release validation.
Collaborate with engineering teams early to identify quality risks and testing approaches.
Develop reusable automation tools and framework capabilities to improve test coverage and reliability.
Validate end‑to‑end customer journeys involving authentication, commerce, entitlements, and streaming experiences.
Build automated tests for APIs, backend services, web and mobile platforms, and integrate into CI/CD pipelines.
