Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment is hiring an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test II (SDET II) to strengthen automation across subscriptions, streaming, and device experiences.

You will own automated testing for assigned features, collaborate with engineers and product teams, and help embed quality into the development process across APIs, backend services, and mobile/web applications. The role emphasizes scalable automation, reliability, and release readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Software Development Engineering in Test or related roles.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Swift.
• Experience developing automated tests and test automation frameworks.
• Experience testing APIs, backend services, web or mobile apps.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern software practices.
• Ability to investigate issues, debug failures, and collaborate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve automated testing solutions for subscription and streaming features.
• Own quality engineering activities from test planning through automation and release validation.
• Collaborate early with engineers to identify quality risks and improve testability.
• Develop reusable automation tools and framework capabilities.
• Validate end-to-end customer journeys across APIs, services, and apps.
• Build tests for APIs, backend services, web, and mobile platforms.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and improve feedback.
• Investigate failures, determine root causes, and drive fixes with teams.
• Contribute to quality metrics, dashboards, and release readiness.
