Job summary

Verisk Analytics in Utah is seeking an SDET to develop and maintain automated tests for software used by insurance market professionals. You will work under supervision of senior SDETs and contribute to the automation suite.

You'll balance automated testing with manual efforts as needed, participate in performance planning, and collaborate with developers to improve release quality. Hybrid schedule requires in-office two days weekly.

Qualifications

• Experience with at least one object-oriented programming language (C#, Java, etc.).
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and QA best practices.
• Able to operate in team and independently.
• Understanding of Web APIs and how to interact with them.

Responsibilities

• Supports execution of test plans, primarily automated tests.
• Maintains and understands automation framework(s).
• Assists with creating/maintaining the automation test suite and reporting its status.
• Provides estimates to Sr. SDETs and flags risks to targets.
• Identifies, researches, and tracks defects through resolution with QA team.
• Manages hybrid in-office work two days per week.
