Job summary

PathAI, a leading AI-powered pathology company, invites applications for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our Engineering team in Boston. You will design and maintain automated test suites across UI, API, and integration layers, and participate in code reviews to improve overall quality.

You will work with AWS and Kubernetes to provision test environments, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and scale testing capabilities across services.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or closely related field.
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience writing and maintaining automated tests with frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress.
• Proficiency in Python or TypeScript with clean coding habits.
• Experience performing code reviews and debugging across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites across UI, API, and integration layers.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to raise quality.
• Translate feature requirements into comprehensive test plans and strategies.
• Perform manual testing when needed to support product verification.
• Investigate and debug test failures, flaky tests, and production incidents.
