Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer on the Workplace Trust Privacy and Responsible AI Review team to design and build Agentic AI tooling that automates compliance at scale.

You will collaborate with privacy reviewers, engineers and legal teams to align processes with global regulations while maintaining privacy standards, and you will develop AI-powered solutions and audit reporting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Identify and analyze pain points in existing privacy and AI review processes.
• Design and develop Agentic AI tools to streamline and enhance team operations.
• Maintain high standards for global privacy and AI compliance.
• Work with a dynamic team to implement solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Develop audit reports, metrics, and reporting mechanisms.
• Define technical requirements and specifications aligned with business needs.
• Develop deep knowledge of employee privacy and responsible AI obligations and data privacy processes.
• Consult on the development of business requirements for new system and model implementations.
• Draft written narratives to communicate development initiatives.
• Implement automation across the internal technology ecosystem.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of AI solutions.
• Stay current with emerging regulations and AI developments.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
