Job summary
Prime Video is seeking a Software Development Engineer II for the Playback Testing Services team to design and build systems enabling a flawless streaming experience across live sports, on-demand content, and linear channels for millions of users worldwide.
You will own architecture, implementation, deployment, and operations, working with device emulation, streaming protocol validation, and QoE measurement to scale Prime Video’s live portfolio and device ecosystem.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Responsibilities
- Build intelligent monitoring and detection systems that identify video and audio defects at scale before they reach customers.
- Develop tooling for rapid reproduction of production issues across device, content, and feature permutations.
- Own services end-to-end: from architecture and implementation through deployment and operations.
