Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Software Development Engineer II for the International Emerging Stores Sub-same Day (SSD) team. You will design and operate scalable, low-latency services that power next‑hour delivery promises across multiple marketplaces, contributing from design to production and operations.

Based in Bellevue, WA, you will mentor junior engineers, drive end‑to‑end features, and collaborate with product, transportation, and search teams to improve delivery speed,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship software development experience
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience for large-scale systems
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years designing and developing large-scale distributed software applications and services
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science/Engineering/Mathematics or related field
• Experience programming in at least one major programming language

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable, low-latency, highly available services that power SSD delivery promises
• Own features end-to-end — requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operations
• Lead design discussions and align with partner teams across Promise, transportation, search, etc.
• Mentor SDE-1s and junior engineers — review code and designs and raise the technical bar
• Contribute to the team's technical roadmap and continuous improvement of systems
