Qualifications

• Strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Experience with or passion for: Algorithms, optimizations, and generative AI.
• Ability to break down ambiguous, complex problems into elegant, shippable solutions.
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment where you own your systems end-to-end.
• Excellent communication skills and a track record of raising the engineering bar on your team.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software solutions across major portions of your team's systems, balancing new feature development with refactoring and operational improvements to maintain long-term code health.
• Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional peers to understand business requirements and deliver the right solutions, ensuring alignment between customer needs and technical direction.
• Participate actively in the full software development lifecycle, including system design, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production operations, while applying sound judgment on data structures, algorithms, and architectural trade-offs.
• Mentor and coach other engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing, producing clear documentation so that your software can be maintained and extended by those unfamiliar with the codebase.
• Identify root causes of operational issues and drive permanent fixes, continuously improving your team's processes, reliability, and overall software quality.
• Ensure peak event readiness by conducting performance and load testing, identifying bottlenecks, hardening capacity data services for throughput spikes, and participating in ORRs.
