Job summary

Amazon seeks an SDE II to own end-to-end features that impact millions of sellers. You will design, build, ship, and operate systems used across 23 countries, with a focus on correctness and scalability.

The role collaborates with PMs, applied scientists, and ML engineers to deliver impactful solutions. Responsibilities include full lifecycle development, mentoring teammates, and evaluating new technologies to simplify complex problems while maintaining high quality and security standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture of large systems.
• 1+ years designing and developing large-scale software using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software solutions for major features with scalability, performance, and security.
• Contribute across the full software development lifecycle from product definition to deployment and operations.
• Identify root causes of issues and implement permanent fixes to increase reliability and reduce costs.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Evaluate new technologies and keep solutions simple and effective.
• Operate AI-native practices: AI-assisted coding, multi-agent workflows, and agentic code reviews.
