Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. seeks a Software Development Engineer to advance the next iteration of CI/CD with the Dynamic Releases orchestration layer. You will own services powering Amazon's releases and influence systems used by thousands of engineers to deploy changes.

The role requires hands-on expertise, delivering scalable, developer-facing products and collaborating across AWS teams to simplify the AWS developer experience at scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large‑scale, multi‑tiered, multi‑threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
• Experience building services using AWS products is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize high‑impact problems that impede AWS software development.
• Decompose complex builder problems into simple, scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with AWSBA, ASBX and AWS builder teams to build and operate the designed solutions.
• Deliver meaningful improvements weekly while working toward long‑term transformation.
• Re‑imagine how developers build and operate the software that underpins the world's largest cloud.
• Drive significant transformation across AWS engineering.
