Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is seeking a Software Development Engineer II in Seattle, WA. You will design, build, and operate large-scale, high-availability systems serving millions of customers.

You own features end-to-end, from design to deployment and operations, with autonomy on well-scoped problems. You will mentor juniors, contribute to design reviews, and improve CI/CD, observability, and security.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years in design or architecture of systems.
• 1+ years of software development experience.
• 1+ years designing and developing large-scale distributed software.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software systems.
• Own delivery of medium-to-large features and drive them to completion.
• Write high-quality, well-tested code and clear design docs.
• Participate in design and code reviews to improve quality.
• Operate and monitor services; respond to incidents and automate fixes.
• Collaborate with product managers and teams to clarify requirements.
