Job summary

Amazon in Seattle, WA seeks a Software Development Engineer to help drive the EC2 provisioning platform. You will design, implement, test, and operate software that turns hardware into scalable cloud infrastructure used by millions of EC2 workloads.

Work with EC2 Principal Engineers, lead small project teams or contribute individually, and own features end-to-end in Linux. Proficiency in Java, C#, Python, Go or Ruby and a strong background in distributed systems are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Collaborate with EC2 Principal Engineers to refine technical direction and deliver high-quality code.
• Lead small project teams or contribute directly to major software initiatives.
