Job summary

Amazon in Seattle is seeking a Software Development Engineer for the AWS Config Rules Platform. You will design and operate high-scale distributed services that continuously evaluate resource configurations across thousands of accounts and regions.

You will own the full lifecycle—design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and support—and collaborate across teams to improve platform scalability and reliability as customer adoption grows.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design/architecture experience for large-scale systems.
• 1+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with C#, C++, Java, or Perl in distributed or multi-tiered systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate high-scale distributed services for the AWS Config Rules evaluation engine.
• Own the full lifecycle: design, implement, deploy, monitor, and support.
• Improve scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency as adoption grows.
• Build capabilities to expand how customers evaluate and enforce compliance.
• Participate in on-call rotation and drive root cause analysis.
