Responsibilities include leading test operations, coordinating assets, developing test documentation, conducting SIL, ground and flight tests, and communicating findings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, master's or PhD in engineering or related field with progressive experience.
• 6+ years with bachelor's, 4+ with master's, or 2+ with PhD; substitution allowed.
• Prior experience in a Test & Integration role for manned and/or unmanned aircraft platforms is highly desired.
• Flight or software test engineer with DoD DT/OT experience is highly desired.
• Experience as test conductor/director/pilot or in CTT/ITF is desired.
• Strong understanding of engineering concepts and broad application of those concepts.
• Experience with National Airspace System and UAS operating rules.
• Able to perform complex tasks in multiple engineering areas.
• Willingness to work extended hours.
• Ability to obtain US DoD clearance.
• 25% travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform Test & Evaluation activities under minimal supervision and guide test activities.
• Act as primary test engineer during test operations including SIL, ground and flight tests.
• Initiate planning of engineering projects and coordinate test events with labs and flight ops.
• Support test plan groups, technical reviews, and safety reviews with internal/external customers.
• Work with systems/project/software teams on all related documentation.
• Communicate test plans, procedures, observations and reports clearly.
• Identify and troubleshoot complex test and integration issues.
• Observe laws, regulations and applicable obligations in all company activities.
• Maintain safe working practices according to procedures.
