Job summary

Scylla AG is seeking a Cabin Steward/Stewardess for its European river cruise ships. You will maintain clean, welcoming guest areas, assist with luggage, and support other departments to ensure exceptional service aboard a premium fleet.

You should be open to seasonal contracts (March–November), enjoy travel across Europe, and have a strong customer focus with excellent English; German is a plus. On-board meals and accommodation are provided, with health and pension benefits and frequent shore

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel industry and/or river cruise ship preferred.
• Strong customer-focused skills and professional demeanor.
• Must be age 18+ and independent worker; able to work on board.

Responsibilities

• Clean all public areas on board (incl. Crew area).
• Clean laundry and store rooms.
• Disinfect bathrooms regularly per HACCP and company standards.
• Replace towels and guest toiletries as needed.
• Check and refill mini bar daily.
• Turn-down service daily.
• Distribute onboard information to staterooms.
• Report technical defects to Reception.
• Assist in laundry and dish wash as scheduled.
• Adhere to HACCP and Scylla hygiene standards.
• Comply with waste concept.
• Stand by on request.
• Participate in inventories.
• Handle equipment carefully.

ISMIRA Agency actively recruiting for position Cabin Steward/Stewardess for Scylla AG!

As a Cabin Steward/Stewardess, you ensure that every guest enjoys a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment onboard. Your attention to detail, proactive service, and hospitality mindset directly contribute to a memorable guest experience. Beyond housekeeping, you support other departments, assist with luggage, and help maintain a safe and professional atmosphere for both guests and crew.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Cleaning all public areas on board (incl. Crew area).
• Cleaning Laundry and Store rooms.
• Responsible for cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms on a regular base in compliance with HACCP regulation and company standards.
• Replacing towels, guest toiletries (amenities, glasses, toilet paper, etc.) if necessary.
• Check and refill of the mini bar on a daily base.
• "Turn-down" service on a daily base.
• Distribution of onboard information material to the staterooms.
• Reporting technical defects in the staterooms to the Reception.
• Assistance in the laundry an dish wash depending on the working shift schedule.
• Assistance in the dish wash adherence to cleanliness and hygienic regulations in compliance with HACCP and Scylla standards.
• Compliance with the waste concept.
• Stand by duty as needed.
• Participation during inventories
• Careful handling of all provided equipment and inventory.

Requirements:

• Preferably experienced within the hotel industry and/ or previous river cruise ship
  experience.
• Outstanding skills and experience in this role with strong customer focus.
  
• Stress resistant, calm under pressure, resilient, team player with positive appearance.
• Open minded and flexible with high social, interpersonal and cultural competencies.
• Good English skills (written & verbal), other languages as German is an advantage.
• Professional attitude and appearance, reliable and hard-working with great team spirit.
• Must work independently.
• Being representative of Scylla´s values.
• Age: min. 18 years old
• Non-EU nationals will need D type German visa before joining
