Job summary

Stellent IT LLC in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead multiple scrum teams on a 3‑month contract. Onsite work four days per week, with potential extension.

The role focuses on facilitating agile ceremonies, removing impediments, and ensuring timely, quality delivery within budget. Ideal candidates hold a Certified Scrum Master certification and have extensive experience with Jira/Confluence; Rally is a plus.

• Experience working in the financial industry and aware of basic financial concepts
• Experience taking Business requirement and writing technical requirement using BDD
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, written and verbal
• Self-starter, organized, ability to work on multiple projects and handle multiple scrum teams

Responsibilities

• Organize and facilitate daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other meetings
• Influence team members to leverage, follow and support agile software development practices
• Interface with product owner and key stakeholders to ensure high quality delivery of software projects on time and budget
• Track internal and external project dependencies
• Identify gaps/risks early and establish mitigation plans
• Track and communicate team velocity, sprint/release progress and maintain process documentation
• Provide accurate and succinct updates and escalations (with business impacts)
• Serve and support team by removing impediments and partnering with Senior Managers and Project Managers
• Assist team with making appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition; Identify and remove impediments; prevent distractions that interfere with the ability of the team to deliver the sprint goal; Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution
• Empower the teams to self-organize; improve the productivity of the sprint teams; ensure that the team strives to make each increment of functionality potentially releasable
• Utilize scrum tools and frameworks to achieve efficiency both internally and externally
• Ensure the coordination of individual team deliverable are synchronized as necessary to achieve product releases

As a scrum master you will be responsible for working within a scrum team to enhance messaging applications, and to support business critical internal integration projects.

What you are good at

What you have

• Must be a Certified Scrum Master with 8+ years Scrum Master Experience
• Rally experience would be a plus
• Experience using Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence) and maintaining Scrum Boards including feature break down to Epics, User Stories,
