Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Clearance TS/SCI with ability to obtain CI Poly.
• Experience leading Agile Scrum teams in a cloud environment.
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps and software development processes.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Guides scrum-team through all sprints of a program increment, removing impediments and championing the team.
• Organizes and facilitates sprint planning and release planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other agile events.
• Tracks and communicates team metrics and sprint/release progress to all teams and management.
• Assists the scrum team in developing and estimating user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Updates agile tracking systems to provide transparency on product and sprint backlogs.
• Assists with internal and external communication and backlog grooming.
• Mentors junior scrum masters.

Overview

Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a SCRUM Master, Jr. on a 10 year contract providing User Facing and Data Center Services supporting an Intelligence Community customer. All the personnel on the team will work together to support innovative design, engineering, procurement, implementation, operations, sustainment and disposal of user facing and data center information technology (IT) services on multiple networks and security domains, at multiple locations worldwide, to support the IC mission.

The right candidate will possess the below skills and qualifications and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Guides scrum-team through all sprints of a program increment, removing impediments and championing the team.
• Organizes and facilitates sprint planning and release planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other agile related events.
• Tracks and communicates team metrics and sprint/release progress to all teams and management.
• Assists the scrum team in developing and estimating user stories that are clearly articulated with well-defined acceptance criteria.
• Updates agile tracking systems to provide transparency on product and sprint backlogs.
• Assists with internal and external communication.
• Assists product owners with backlog grooming.
• Assists team with making appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition.
• Determines and removes impediments that interfere with the ability of the teams to deliver assigned goals.
• Facilitates discussion and conflict resolution.
• Promotes continuous improvement and help teams to increase velocity.
• Promotes a collaborative team environment that fosters experimentation, creativity and innovation.
• Collaborates with fellow scrum masters to promote best practices.
• Mentors junior scrum masters.

Qualifications

Clearance Required: TS/SCI with ability to obtain a CI Poly.

Degree and Years of Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, and work experience.

• 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Required Skills:

• Experience leading Agile Scrum teams in a cloud environment.
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps and /or software/application development processes.
• Advanced knowledge of systems engineering principles, methods, and techniques.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Atlassian Agile Products; specifically JIRA and Confluence.
