Summary

CHS has an exciting opportunity within the Information Technology group. We are looking for an expert level Scrum Master to lead delivery excellence across Go-to-Market product teams, with a strong focus on Dynamics/CRM capabilities. This role partners with the team from idea to delivery to improve team effectiveness, delivery transparency, and the consistent focus on continuous improvement. The expert Scrum Master enables and facilitates teams to define success, understand needs before acting, build trust through transparency, use process purposefully, and measure outcomes while using data and metrics to tell the story of delivery progress, flow, risk and results. The expert Scrum Master serves as a trusted coach, mentor, teammate, and change agent who strengthens Agile and Product practices across complex environments. This role removes delivery impediments, identifies and addresses systemic barriers, manages dependencies, and uses delivery insights to improve predictability, team health, continuous improvement, and stakeholder confidence.

This is a remote-based role with routine on-site collaboration. To be considered for this position, qualified candidates must currently reside in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN metro area to commute to the corporate office located in Inver Grove Heights, MN as needed.

Responsibilities

Lead Team Delivery and Continuous Improvement

  • Facilitate team cadences and working sessions, including planning, refinement, daily coordination, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Coach teams, Product Owners, and partners on Agile and product-delivery practices that improve collaboration, clarity, flow, and time from idea to value.
  • Guide backlog readiness, work breakdown, working agreements, definitions of ready and done, and feedback loops.
  • Foster a high-trust environment where you and the team identify challenges, learn from outcomes, and increasingly self-manage within the organization’s delivery guidance and playbook.

Delivery Transparency, Predictability, and Risk Management

  • Provide accurate visibility into planned and in-progress work, progress, tradeoffs, decisions, risks, dependencies, capacity and constraints.
  • Create, maintain, and improve delivery health reporting, dashboards, and visual management practices using Azure DevOps, Miro, and Microsoft collaboration tools.
  • Use delivery data and team insights to improve flow, predictability, capacity, aging work, quality, risk management, and team effectiveness.
  • Establish meaningful success measures within teams (OKRs, Sprint Goals, and quarterly commitments).
  • Identify, manage, and help resolve cross-team dependencies, impediments, and systemic barriers; coordinate root-cause resolution or escalation as needed.
  • Clearly communicate delivery status, key decisions, risks, and escalation needs to technical and nontechnical partners.

Initiative, Release, and Quarterly Planning Support

  • Partner with Tech Delivery peers to align team delivery plans with initiative milestones, dependencies, communications, release activities, and risks.
  • Align team plans, delivery practices, and decisions with portfolio priorities and broader IT governance, standards, and required controls.
  • Support release planning, readiness, deployment, post-release learning, and major-incident response, as appropriate.
  • Coach, guide, and facilitate quarterly planning routines; translate portfolio priorities into feasible team plans.

Coach and Influence Across Technology Delivery

  • Mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners, delivery partners, team members, and stakeholders to strengthen Agile and product-delivery capability.
  • Share reusable practices, lessons learned, delivery insights, and tools across the Scrum Master community and Technology Delivery.
  • Apply sound judgment to ambiguous or complex delivery challenges and recommend process or practice improvements.
  • Influence without formal authority by communicating complex concepts clearly, building consensus, and encouraging adoption of effective delivery practices.
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback on delivery behaviors and commitments; elevate unresolved concerns with objective observations and delivery impact.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent years of experience, education and training)
  • 7+ years of experience in Agile, product, or technology delivery, including experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, product-team leader, or in Agile/product transformation to include:
    • Experience facilitating delivery practices and coaching teams and stakeholders in complex, matrixed environments
    • Ability to improve delivery flow, predictability, transparency, team effectiveness, and continuous improvement
    • Experience identifying and resolving cross-team dependencies, delivery risks, impediments, and constraints
    • Ability to use delivery data and team insights to identify improvement opportunities and guide action

    • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to communicate with technical and nontechnical audiences
Additional Qualifications
  • Experience supporting customer or employee-facing technology, Dynamics 365, CRM platforms, and Go-to-Market capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to share delivery practices, coach peers, and influence adoption of effective Agile and product-delivery practices across teams or communities of practice

  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Miro, and Microsoft collaboration tools
  • Experience creating or maintaining dashboards and delivery-health reporting
