Scrum Master - ServiceNow (Strategic Portfolio Management, SPM Module)
Location: Remote
Duration: 12+ Month Contract (Ongoing)
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master / Product Owner / Business Analyst to support Agile delivery for a major ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) initiative. This role is ideal for someone who can serve as a servant leader while also contributing to backlog ownership, business analysis, and stakeholder collaboration.
The ideal candidate has strong Agile facilitation skills, experience working directly with business and technical teams, and a solid understanding of ServiceNow SPM capabilities, including demand, portfolio, and project management processes.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, ensuring adherence to Scrum principles and delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Act as a Product Owner partner, helping define priorities, manage backlog readiness, and ensure alignment with strategic business goals.
- Perform business analysis functions, gathering requirements, documenting user stories, and translating business needs into actionable work items.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to support strategic portfolio planning and initiative execution within ServiceNow SPM.
- Remove impediments, manage risks, and foster an environment of collaboration and transparency across teams.
- Track and report on Agile metrics such as velocity, burndown, and delivery progress.
- Promote continuous improvement and help teams mature in Agile practices.
- Support organizational adoption of Agile frameworks and delivery best practices within a modernization program.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a blended Scrum Master / Product Owner / Business Analyst role within an Agile environment.
- Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and Agile principles.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, stakeholder management, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to influence without direct authority and build strong cross-functional relationships.
- ServiceNow platform experience strongly preferred, particularly within Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM).
- Experience working in compliance-driven or regulated environments is beneficial.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Scrum certification (CSM, SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent) preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on knowledge of ServiceNow SPM modules such as Demand Management, Portfolio Management, Project Management, and Resource Planning.
- Experience supporting digital transformation, modernization, or enterprise-scale ServiceNow implementations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and enterprise governance models.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
