The Scrum Master will collaborate with Product Owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure effective planning, execution, and delivery of product increments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years as a Scrum Master with proven delivery.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with traditional and Agile project management lifecycles.
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence; knowledge of Visio is a plus.
  • Deep knowledge of Scrum; working knowledge of Kanban, SAFe, or XP.
  • SDLC understanding including CI/CD and release management.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Scrum Master to guide Agile teams in delivering high-quality solutions aligned with business objectives. This role serves as a servant leader by facilitating Scrum ceremonies, removing impediments, encouraging continuous improvement, and promoting Agile best practices across the team.

The Scrum Master will collaborate closely with Product Owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure effective planning, execution, and delivery of product increments. The role requires strong communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills to drive team performance and organizational agility.

Business Analyst experience is preferred. The role may include supporting requirements elicitation, facilitating discussions with business stakeholders, documenting business needs, analyzing processes, and helping bridge business objectives with technical solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Scrum Events: Lead core meetings including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews/Demos, and Retrospectives.
  • Remove Impediments: Proactively identify and clear blockers (technical, procedural, or cross-departmental) that stall team progress.
  • Coach & Mentor: Guide the development team and Product Owner in self-organization, cross-functional collaboration, and Agile best practices.
  • Shield the Team: Protect the team from external distractions or mid-sprint scope creep so they can maintain focus.
  • Track Team Health & Metrics: Monitor metrics like velocity, burndown charts, cycle time, and flow to foster continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience as a Scrum Master.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with traditional and Agile project management methodologies and software development lifecycles.
  • Knowledge of relevant tools such as Microsoft Visio, JIRA, Confluence, etc.
  • Agile Frameworks: Deep knowledge of Scrum theory, as well as working knowledge of frameworks like Kanban, SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), or XP (Extreme Programming).
  • SDLC Understanding: Basic to intermediate understanding of Software Development Life Cycle processes, CI/CD practices, and release management.
Core Certifications
  • PSM I / II (Professional Scrum Master – Scrum.org)
Good-to-Have Skills (Preferred / Bonus)
Business Analysis & Requirement Engineering:
  • Ability to assist the Product Owner in defining, refining, and breaking down epics into clear, actionable User Stories with explicit Acceptance Criteria.
  • Experience translating complex business needs into functional requirements or process flowcharts.
  • Familiarity with data analysis, process mapping, or gap analysis techniques to help bridge technical teams and business stakeholders when needed.
Secondary Certifications:
  • PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis), IIBA-CBAP, or PMI-ACP.
