Job description

Apex Systems has an exciting, remote Scrum Master opportunity with our client, a non-profit academic health system! Our client is undergoing an exciting Agile transformation and is looking for a seasoned Scrum Master to support their Digital/Automation team. This team is pioneering the use of JIRA within their organization and plays a crucial role in product development and automation initiatives. Location:Remote - Must work EST hours

Job Type:6 Month Contract To Hire

W-2 Hourly Rate: $60-$65/hr

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, etc.) for the Digital/Automation team.
  • Guide the team through Agile best practices and principles, ensuring adherence to Scrum methodology.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to ensure the backlog is well-defined and prioritized.
  • Support the team in identifying and removing impediments to ensure smooth delivery of sprint goals.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging experimentation and innovation.
  • Coordinate with the Agile Center of Excellence (COE) and other Scrum Masters to align on best practices and transformation goals.
  • Mentor and coach team members on Agile practices, ensuring a high level of Agile maturity.
  • Utilize JIRA for tracking and managing project progress, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master, preferably within digital or product development teams.
  • Previous experience in automation projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and practices, with a track record of successful Agile transformations.
  • Proficiency in using JIRA for project management and tracking.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification is preferred.
