Job description

Responsibilities

Peraton is looking to hire a Scrum Master for a remote role.

This program supports a customer that develops, enhances, and expands defense system capabilities using the Scaled Agile Large Solution Framework (SAFe). The program involves vetting personnel for security access, suitability, and credentialing, maintaining clearances, and sharing information with other Federal Agencies to mitigate Insider Threat risks.

What you'll do:

• Lead the Scrum Team in prioritizing features, user stories, and tracking team velocity. Collaborate with Product Owners on priorities, participate in Sprint Reviews, Backlog Refinement, and lead daily stand-up meetings.

• Work with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure timely releases, supporting the full Software Development Life-cycle using methodologies like Continuous Deployment, Agile, and DevOps.

• Address system integration, compatibility issues, and multi-platform challenges. Consult with project teams and end users to identify requirements and perform feasibility analyses.

• Instruct, assign, and supervise team members. Contribute to the development of user manuals and technical reports.

• Support senior leadership and coordinate cooperation across teams and ARTs. Assist Product Owners with backlog management.

• Lead on complex technical issues, providing solutions aligned with Agile methodologies. Facilitate weekly synchronization meetings with the client, acting as the primary liaison.

• Participate in Program Ceremonies and Reviews, and brief team status during Quarterly Program Increment Planning.

Qualifications

What you'll need:

• Education: 12 years with a BS/BA, 10 years with MS/MA, or 7 years with a Ph.D.

• Active Secret clearance.
• Experience with software development (Java, Pega) and full-stack development.
• Knowledge of IT standards, SDLC, and project management frameworks.
• Preferred: AWS Web Server, cloud architecture, and CI/CD experience.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems like ServiceNow.

• Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, GitLab, and Artifactory.

• Proficiency in MS Office / Microsoft 365.

• Strong leadership skills and ability to foster collaboration.

• Ability to resolve issues quickly and accurately.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAFe 4.5/5.0 Certification or equivalent is highly recommended.
