North Oaks Health System in Hammond, LA seeks a Surgical Tech (Scrub Tech) for Labor & Delivery. PRN - As Needed, Night shifts.

The role supports the L&D team under RN supervision and requires graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program or 1+ year scrub experience in OR/L&D. Responsibilities include assisting with deliveries, preparing for procedures, maintaining aseptic technique, and assisting with newborn care as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school for surgical technologists, or 1+ year experience as scrub tech in OR and/or L&D.
• Ability to assist with vaginal deliveries and obstetric procedures.

Responsabilités

• Acts as scrub nurse during operative procedures and assists with vaginal deliveries.
• Prepares for procedures by reviewing physician preference cards and setting up equipment.
• Maintains aseptic technique and sterile field throughout procedures.
• Assists in delivery room and with newborn care as directed by RN.
