Job summary

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, Missouri, is seeking an Oncology Clinical Scribe to support documentation and workflow in our fast-paced oncology clinic. You will collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure accurate EMR entries and high-quality patient care.

The role emphasizes strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and teamwork, with full-time day shifts in outpatient oncology. Training and CPR certification support are provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Experience in oncology, hematology, specialty clinic, or hospital environment.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR within 6 months of employment (CMH assists).

Responsibilities

• Document patient history, symptoms, assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up recommendations under provider direction.
• Accurately capture laboratory, pathology, imaging, and diagnostic information relevant to oncology care.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, APs, nurses, pharmacists, schedulers, and oncology team members.
• Identify incomplete or missing documentation and bring it to the provider’s attention for timely completion.
• Assist with care coordination documentation and other non-clinical workflow activities as assigned.
• Maintain high accuracy while working efficiently in a high-volume oncology environment.

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is hiring an Oncology Clinical Scribe to join our Oncology Clinic in Bolivar, Missouri — someone who leads with skill, compassion, and a drive to positively impact every patient and family we serve.

• Hours: 8:00a.m- 4:30p.m

What Your Day Looks Like

providing dedicated documentation and workflow support to oncology providers in a fast-paced clinical environment. The scribe works alongside physicians and advanced practice providers to accurately document patient encounters, treatment plans, laboratory and diagnostic information, medications, and follow-up recommendations within the electronic medical record (EMR).

As an Oncology Clinic Scribe, you will be:

• Documenting patient history, symptoms, assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up recommendations under provider direction.
• Accurately capture laboratory, pathology, imaging, and diagnostic information relevant to the patient’s oncology care.
• Communicating effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, pharmacists, schedulers, and other members of the oncology team.
• Identifying incomplete or missing documentation and bringing it to the provider’s attention for timely completion.
• Assisting with care coordination documentation and other non-clinical workflow activities as assigned.
• Maintaining a high level of accuracy while working efficiently in a high-volume oncology environment.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma (preferred).

Experience: working in an oncology, hematology, specialty clinic, or hospital environment.

Skills: Work ethic, Attention to Detail, teamwork, adaptability, and great initiative while maintaining confidentiality.

Licensure/Certification: BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR (we assist with obtaining this) within 6 months of employment.

Physical Requirements: This position is primarily performed in an outpatient oncology clinical environment. The employee must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced setting, manage multiple priorities, and remain attentive to detail while supporting multiple patient encounters.
