Job summary

OrthoVirginia is seeking a Medical Scribe to support orthopedic clinicians by documenting patient encounters in the electronic medical record. The role offers exposure to musculoskeletal assessments, treatment plans, and clinical workflows in a busy, multi-location practice.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree or be enrolled in a healthcare-related program, strong knowledge of medical terminology, and excellent typing skills (60+ WPM).

• Demonstrated interest in pursuing healthcare-related field or advanced clinical education.

Responsibilities

• Accurately document patient encounters in the electronic medical record, including chief complaint, HPI, ROS, PMH, meds, and allergies.
• Record detailed musculoskeletal physical exam findings with pertinent positives/negatives.
• Document clinician assessments and treatment plans with appropriate level of detail for case complexity.
• Ensure timely, thorough, and compliant clinical documentation while supporting provider efficiency.
• Maintain professionalism and patient confidentiality in a fast-paced clinical environment.
