Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Screening Sales Re-representative to advance colorectal cancer screening by partnering with healthcare providers to increase adoption of Cologuard and other diagnostic solutions. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of related experience.
  • 2 years of sales, inside sales, or account management experience OR 1 year of sales plus 1 year healthcare experience OR completion of active-duty military service as a Junior Officer or above.
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build credibility and influence customers.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and relationship-building skills.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Ability to travel daily throughout the assigned territory, including occasional overnight travel.
  • Ability to meet healthcare facility credentialing requirements, including vaccination or other site-specific requirements where applicable.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic territory and account plans to increase awareness, adoption, and utilization of Cologuard while achieving sales objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, healthcare administrators, and other key stakeholders by identifying unmet needs and delivering value-based diagnostic solutions.
  • Analyze local healthcare markets, customer data, and account insights to identify opportunities that improve patient outcomes and enhance the system of care.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Marketing, Medical Affairs, Screening Advocates, Sales Operations, and Area Managers to implement customer-specific business strategies and maximize account success.
  • Accurately document customer interactions, sales activities, market intelligence, and pipeline development within CRM while maintaining the highest ethical, quality, and compliance standards.

The Opportunity This position works out of our Reno, NV within the Cancer Diagnostics business. Abbott's Cancer Diagnostics business was established through the acquisition of Exact Sciences', bringing together Abbott's global diagnostics leadership with Exact Sciences' expertise in cancer screening and diagnostic testing. As a Screening Sales Re-representative, you’ll play a frontline role in advancing colorectal cancer screening by partnering with healthcare providers to increase adoption of Cologuard® and other diagnostic solutions.

You’ll build trusted customer relationships, identify opportunities to improve patient care, and drive business growth through strategic account management, clinical education, and cross-functional collaboration.

What You’ll Work On

  • Two (2) years of sales, inside sales, or account management experience OR one (1) year of sales experience plus one (1) year of healthcare-related experience OR completion of active-duty military service as a Junior Officer or above.
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build credibility and influence customers.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and relationship-building skills.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record that meets company requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Two (2) or more years of medical device, diagnostics, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare sales experience.
  • Experience calling on primary care physicians or other healthcare provider customers.
  • Demonstrated success in commissioned sales and territory management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms.
  • Experience using data and business intelligence tools to guide account planning and sales strategy.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and consultative selling skills with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
