Job summary

Forward Merch in Somersworth, NH is seeking a highly technical Screen-printing production lead for our shop floor. You will troubleshoot complex print issues, dial in press parameters, and float between load, catch, or run tasks to keep daily production on track.

The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on experience with automatic screen-printing equipment (M&R preferred). You will support the Technical Advisor and Operations Manager to maintain quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience running automatic screen-printing equipment.
• M&R experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to float between tasks and load/catch/run a press as needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot complex print issues and dial in squeegee pressure, flood angles, and cure times.
• Float onto the line to load, catch or run a press as needed.
• Approve new jobs and reprints with Technical Advisor and Art Department.
• Back up and assist leadership to keep production on schedule.

Overview

We are looking for a highly technical, hands-on Screen-printing production lead for our shop floor. This is a dynamic, high impact role for a seasoned screen printer who loves the technical side of the craft but is completely willing to get their hands dirty. You won’t just be locked into a single press all day- you will keep our M&R equipment dialed in, troubleshoot complex print issues and fluidly “float” onto the line to load, catch or run a press as needed.

Responsibilities

• Technical Troubleshooting: Work with press operatorsthat are setting up difficult multi-color jobs, registration issues and dialing in perfect squeegee pressure, flood angles and cure times.


• The Ultimate Floater: Actively step in to run an automatic press, unload, catch or perform any task to keep the shop hitting its daily production goals when short-staffed.


• Print Run Approvals: Working with the Technical Advisor and Art Department to approve new jobs and reprints.


• Floor Leadership: Backup/Assist the Technical Advisor and Operations Manager in keeping the team focused, organized and moving forward meeting production timelines.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum3-5 years of hands-on experience running automatic screen-printing equipment on a daily bases. M&R experience preferred but not required.


• The “Do whatever it takes” Mindset: Zero ego. You are just as comfortable diagnosing a registration glitch as you are catching shirts at the end of a dryer belt for the entire day.


• Reliability: You show up on time for every shift. If a crew member is missing, the team looks to you to keep the line humming.
