Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a Screen Print Assistant in Long Beach, CA to support the Screen Print Department. You will assist press operators with machine setup, production flow, and quality control while maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

You will help manage inks, screens, and screens preparation, ensuring garments are printed to Armada’s quality standards and production schedules are met.

Qualifications

• Experience handling screen printing ink and screens preferred.
• Attention to detail to maintain print quality.

Responsibilities

• Unload garments from press and place on dryer without damage.
• Maintain clean print habits and organize work areas for safety.
• Assist with applying inks to screens and monitor ink levels.
• Identify when ink or pallets need replenishment and communicate.
• Inspect garments during unloading for quality defects such as pinholes, lint, or misalignment.
• Prioritize quality over speed in all tasks.
• Be aware of surrounding equipment and production flow for safety.
• Follow daily schedules and support timely job completion.
• Prepare supplies for upcoming jobs to minimize downtime.
• Verify garments, counts, and job numbers in company systems.
• Tape and prepare screens for upcoming jobs.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors and teammates.

Screen Print Assistant Position Summary The Press Assistant supports the Screen Print Department by assisting Press Operators with machine setup, production flow, quality control, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This role plays a critical part in ensuring garments are printed accurately, efficiently, and to Armada’s quality standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Unload garments from press and carefully put on dryer without damaging garments or prints
• Maintain clean print habits, including cleaning spilled ink and keeping work areas organized and safe
• Assist with applying inks to screens and monitoring ink levels during production
• Recognize when additional ink or pallet adhesive is needed and communicate proactively
• Inspect garments during unloading to ensure quality standards are met, including identifying: o Pinholes o Lint or debris on screens o Print alignment issues o Other print defects
• Always prioritize quality and never sacrifice quality for speed
• Maintain awareness of surrounding equipment and production activity for safety and efficiency
• Follow daily production schedules and support timely job completion
• Prepare supplies and materials for upcoming jobs to minimize downtime
• Verify correct garments, garment counts, and job numbers within company systems
• Tape and prepare screens for upcoming jobs
• Communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors and team members
