Job summary

Huntzberry Brothers, Inc. is seeking a Screed & Roller Operator to join our paving crew with safety as a top priority.

You will help ensure timely project completion by operating the screed and rollers and coordinating with team members on site. Responsibilities include compacting asphalt with various rollers, performing daily equipment checks, keeping machinery clean, and following OSHA and local safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or skilled-trade certification.
• Ability to read and follow construction site drawings, diagrams and specs.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate paver screed, 1 TN, 5 TN and 10 TN rollers.
• Compact asphalt material using rollers of various sizes.
• Perform daily equipment checks including greasing and fluid levels.
• Keep exterior components (including tracks) cleaned daily.
• Park and store equipment safely at end of day.
• Follow safety regulations including OSHA and local jurisdictions.
• Cooperate with others in a team environment.
• Accept direction from supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

  Operate paver screed, 1 TN, 5 TN and 10 TN rollers
• 
  Compact asphalt material using rollers of various sizes
• 
  Perform daily checks on equipment to ensure proper operating condition which includes greasing and checking fluids
• 
  Keep exterior components (including tracks) cleaned out daily
• 
  Park and store equipment safely at the end of each day
• 
  Follow safety regulations including OSHA and local jurisdictions
• 
  Cooperate with others in a team environment
• 
  Accept direction from supervisor
• 
  Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

• 
  Working knowledge of and understand the screed on an 8’ and 10’ paver
• 
  High school diploma or certification in a skilled trade
• 
  Ability to read and follow construction site drawings, diagrams and specifications is preferred
• 
  Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
