Job summary

Western Rock Products, a CRH Company, is seeking a skilled equipment operator to safely operate loaders, backhoes, track hoes, haul trucks, water trucks, screeds, and related machinery. This role involves maintaining safe slopes on excavations, proper barricading, and ensuring safety at all times.

Responsibilities include locating utilities before digging, performing minor maintenance, recording time and materials, and understanding trenching/shore standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 5 years experience as a Screed Operator.
• Valid Driver's License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain safe slopes on excavations and proper barricading.
• Locate utilities and other buried lines prior to digging.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor.
• Knowledge of trenching and shoring standards.
• Keep time and material records.
• Knowledge of aggregate sizes and classifications.
• Knowledge of load weight requirements.
• Travel between locations as needed.
• Assist Laborers at job sites and perform physical tasks related to pipe, utility lines, road construction, and laying asphalt.
