Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience working in a bakery or food service is preferred.
• Satisfactory completion of job-specific skills assessment.
• 6 to 12 months bakery experience or completion of Giant Eagle Apprenticeship.
• No high school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Perform bench work according to scratch procedures.
• Prepare and form products to recipe specifications.
• Bake products at specified times and temperatures.
• Insert products into proof boxes and monitor size and shape.
• Prepare and fry donuts according to procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and work areas.
• Assist guests with questions and provide samples as appropriate.
• Ensure products are fresh and correctly dated for sale.
