Job summary

Alliance Construction is seeking experienced Scraper Operators in Sioux Falls to move large volumes of earth before winter. You will operate twin-engine scrapers and bulldozers, perform safety checks, and ensure precise grading. The role offers steady work, overtime, and weekly pay for qualified individuals with a high school diploma and valid driver's license.

CDL preferred; teamwork on a busy site; commitment to safety and reliability are essential for success.

• Read grade stakes and GPS monitors to adjust dirt quantities accurately.
• Follow all safety protocols to avoid hazards and utility lines.

Alliance Constructionis one of Sioux Falls premier earthwork and general contractors whose team members go the extra mile to ensure productivity, efficiency, and safety. We are looking for experienced Scraper Operators to move 500,000 yard of dirt before the snow flies. We may also have seats open for excavators, motor graders, bull dozers, and packers.

Core Responsibilities

• Operate Heavy Machinery: Safely maneuver twin-engine or single-engine scrapers (to load, haul, and dump dirt) and dozers (to push and level bulk earth).
• Machine Maintenance: Perform daily 'walk-around' safety checks. This includes greasing parts, checking fluid levels, and connecting hydraulic hoses.
• Site Preparation: Cut, fill, and grade terrain to exact elevations.
• Read Grade Stakes: Read and interpret construction stakes or electronic GPS monitors to know exactly how much dirt to add or remove
• Safety Protocols: Follow all safety rules to avoid hazards like underground utility lines and other equipment.

Job Requirements

• Education & Licensing: High school diploma or GED. A valid Driver’s License (or Commercial Driver's License).
• Physical Strength: Ability to endure all weather conditions, constant bumps/jolts from the machinery, and demanding physical labor.
• Coordination: Excellent hand, eye, and foot coordination to operate multiple pedals, levers, and computerized controls at the same time.
