Job summary

SA Recycling LLC in Phenix City, AL seeks a weighmaster to weigh vehicles for purchases, determine metal grade, and manage paperwork for deliveries and regulatory documentation.

You will coordinate with dispatch and drivers, communicate with customers, and ensure safety, neatness, and timely end-of-day reporting. Basic math and communication skills are essential; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate with others effectively; understand direction (written or oral) and use basic math skills as the job demands.
• Willingness to learn how to: sort metal, identify colors, shapes, and weights; properly maintain equipment; properly utilize PPE.
• Bi-lingual (English & Spanish) language skills a plus
• Must pass a medical physical and drug test; background and credit checks may be required; prior grandfathered status for employees prior to April 2014.

Responsibilities

• Weigh vehicles full and empty to record purchases.
• Inspect and determine metal grade for inventory tracking.
• Handle paperwork for deliveries and government-required documentation.
• Communicate with dispatch, truck drivers, customers, and when materials arrive.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and perform end-of-day totals.
