Qualifications

• Must pass a medical physical and drug test.
• Must pass a background check and credit check.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively; use basic math.
• Willingness to learn metal sorting and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Weigh vehicles full and empty to record purchases.
• Inspect and determine metal grade for inventory tracking.
• Handle paperwork for deliveries and government-required documentation.
• Communicate with customers about objectionable materials.
• Assist customers to satisfy needs and resolve problems.
• Work with yard staff to ensure swift processing of arriving materials.
• Process and report end-of-day totals.
• Maintain safety and dress code compliance; housekeeping.
• Keep work areas neat and orderly.
• Attend work regularly and punctually.
• Organize materials for efficient space use.
• Dispose of waste materials properly.
• Inspect to ensure cleanup is completed.
