Job summary

SA Recycling in Wooster, OH is seeking an Inspector to be the primary contact for customers bringing scrap material to the yard. You will inspect and document loads, direct traffic within the yard, and maintain records in the company database, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

The role is outdoors in varying weather, with regular full-time hours and overtime as needed. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and prior labor experience is preferred; we provide PPE and uniforms

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED Certification, or equivalent work experience.
• 1 year of general labor in scrap metal or construction preferred.
• Ability to use a computer tablet.
• Ability to follow written, oral or diagrammatic instructions.
• Ability to learn new tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and document customer loads of scrap material.
• Direct traffic to proper collection sites within the yard.
• Input customer and scrap information into SA Recycling’s database and complete inspection tickets.
• Observe all customer drop-offs for unacceptable items.
