Job summary

SA Recycling in Doraville, GA is hiring an Inspector to evaluate and classify scrap materials and direct customers at collection sites. The role requires basic data entry, attention to safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced yard environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, up to one year of general labor experience, and a willingness to learn. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; outdoor work is expected in all weather.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• 1 year general labor experience preferred in scrap metal or construction.
• Ability to use a computer tablet.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Ability to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions.
• Willingness to learn new tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
• Identify and grade inbound scrap; reject unacceptable items.
• Direct customer traffic to appropriate collection sites.
• Input customer and scrap data into SA Recycling’s database and complete inspection tickets.
• Observe all customer drop-offs for unacceptable items.
• Perform other general labor duties as directed.
• Work outdoors in varying weather; follow health, safety, and environmental standards.
