Job summary

Radius Recycling is seeking a reliable Grader/Sorter to help sort incoming metal by appearance and quality and prepare it for processing. This is a physically demanding, on-site role requiring standing, walking on uneven ground, and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities include yard cleanup, basic sorting, maintenance near the shear or shredder, and supporting repairs and safety. A valid driver's license and basic English are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions.
• Basic English proficiency.
• Experience in a scrap yard preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive.

Responsibilities

• Grade and sort incoming metal by appearance and quality.
• General yard cleanup and maintenance.
• Greasing and cleaning near the shear and/or shredder.
• Assist with repairs and maintenance at railroad.
• Provide backup throughout the yard as needed.
• Report equipment deficiencies to the supervisor.
