Job summary

Radius Recycling is seeking a Grader/Sorter to grade and sort incoming metal products by appearance and quality, and perform yard cleanup and maintenance.

The role requires walking on uneven ground, lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, and basic English communication. A valid driver’s license is required and prior scrap yard experience is preferred. Radius Recycling is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Ability to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
• Ability to speak and understand English at a basic level.
• Willingness to learn new tasks as assigned.
• Experience in a scrap yard preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and ability to drive a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Grade and sort incoming metal products by appearance and quality.
• Perform general yard cleanup and maintenance tasks.
• Conduct basic sorting of scrap and prep for processing.
• Greasing and general cleanup at the shear and/or shredder.
• Assist with repairs and maintenance at railroad areas.
• Provide backup or assistance throughout the yard as needed.
• Report equipment deficiencies or malfunctions to the supervisor.
