Job summary

Radius Recycling is seeking a grader/sorter to grade and sort incoming metal products by appearance and quality to ensure proper processing. The role includes general yard cleanup and maintenance to keep the site safe and organized.

The position requires physical work on uneven ground, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and basic English communication. Prior scrap yard experience and a valid driver's license are valued assets.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions.
• Basic English speaking and understanding required.
• Experience learning new tasks; scrap yard experience preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to drive.

Responsibilities

• Grade and sort incoming metal products by appearance and quality.
• Perform general yard cleanup and maintenance.
• Sort scrap and prepare metal for processing.
• Grease and clean at the shear and shredder.
• Assist with repairs and maintenance at the railroad.
• Provide backup or assistance throughout the yard as needed.
• Report equipment deficiencies or malfunctions to supervision.
