Job summary

PADNOS - Recycling Solutions in Pinconning, MI is seeking an Administrative Scale Buyer (Metals, Auto Division) to handle both administrative tasks and purchasing of incoming metals at our recycling center. You will inspect, weigh, and grade scrap, manage transactions, and coordinate shipping, with emphasis on accuracy and customer-focused service.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of administrative or operations experience.
• Familiarity with ferrous and non-ferrous scrap materials is preferred.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and basic POS systems.
• Strong organizational skills and accurate recordkeeping.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to multi-task and operate equipment safely.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Associate degree in business or related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Input all transactions into computer systems and generate invoices.
• Prepare shipping/receiving documentation and manage daily cash procedures.
• Set up new accounts and handle daily financial work per policy.
• Maintain records of shipments and yard inventory.
• Inspect, weigh, and grade incoming scrap materials and complete purchases.
• Coordinate truck traffic and prepare material for shipment.
• Operate equipment safely and keep the area organized.
• Follow safety protocols and report anomalies promptly.
