Job summary

PADNOS is seeking a Scrap Scale Associate in Battle Creek, MI. You will inspect, grade, and purchase non-ferrous materials while delivering a positive, customer-focused experience for those delivering materials. This role records transactions, maintains inventory records, and supports packaging and shipping to fulfill sales orders.

The position offers a Monday-Saturday first-shift schedule with a rotating 5-day week, and opportunities for growth in a long-standing recycling company.

Qualifications

• Six months operating small equipment experience preferred.
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Accuracy in operation and attention to detail.
• Knowledge in inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers regarding the purchase of their materials
• Weigh and inspect all incoming non-ferrous customer scrap
• Identify and sort materials, removing and/or upgrading when possible
• Input and record transaction data in computer system
• Operate hi-lo, loader and/or manual processing equipment as needed
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
• Inventory and ship material as needed

Position Summary

Scrap Scale Associate inspects, grades, and purchases non-ferrous materials while creating a positive, customer-focused experience for those delivering materials.
