Job summary

SA Recycling LLC in Norcross, GA is looking for a Heavy Driver to load and unload scrap metal, verify grades, and perform daily DOT operations and safety inspections. The role requires reliable punctuality and ability to work independently in a yard setting.

You will communicate with the office and customers to determine commodities, assist teammates to keep the yard safe and organized, and help with basic maintenance, fueling, and housekeeping to support efficient scrap operations.

Qualifications

• Must pass a medical physical and drug test.
• Must pass a background check.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks hauling scrap metal.
• Inspect and determine metal grade for inventory tracking.
• Perform DOT daily operation and safety inspection.
• Communicate with office and customers to determine commodities to load.
• Work with yard staff to ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain vehicle and yard cleanliness and housekeeping.
• Organize materials to maximize storage space.
• Attend to daily operational tasks including refueling and lubrication.
