Job summary

SA Recycling LLC is seeking a Material Handler to support safe, efficient operations in an outdoor scrapyard environment. You will load, unload and move scrap metal using hydraulic grapples or cranes, perform inspections, and help maintain safety for all staff and visitors.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of general labor experience preferred, and bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Opportunities for growth and competitive benefits are available.

Qualifications

• 1 year of general labor experience preferred.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions.
• Willingness to learn new tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Sort scrap metal and debris for processing.
• Maintain a safe environment for employees, customers and visitors.
• Operate a hydraulic grapple or magnetic crane to lift and move scrap.
• Conduct daily inspections and report defects or needed repairs.
• Determine load weights and confirm within lifting capacities.
• Comply with applicable safety rules and procedures.
