Job summary

SA Recycling is seeking dependable Material Handler to support safe and efficient scrap metal processing outdoors. You will operate a hydraulic grapple or magnetic crane to load and unload containers and move scrap as directed, while following all safety rules.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to learn, and basic prior labor experience; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Willingness to work in varying weather conditions required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• 1 year of general labor experience preferred, in scrap metal or construction.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sort scrap and metal in preparation for processing.
• Maintain a safe environment for employees, customers, and visitors.
• Operate hydraulic grapple or magnetic crane to lift/sort/load scrap metal.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report defects.
• Determine load weights and verify against crane capacities.
• Follow SA Recycling safety, health, and environmental rules and procedures.
