Job summary

Radius Recycling is seeking a Grader/Sorter to grade and sort incoming metal products by appearance and quality for correct processing. The role includes yard cleanup and additional maintenance duties.

This is a physical job; candidates must walk on uneven ground, lift up to 50 pounds, and be able to hear and communicate. Prior scrap-yard experience is preferred; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions.
• Basic English speaking/understanding required.
• Willingness to learn new tasks; scrap yard experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• General yard cleanup and maintenance.
• Basic sorting of scrap and metal for processing.
• Greasing and cleaning at shear/shredder area.
• Assist with repairs/maintenance at the railroad.
• Provide backup support around the yard as needed.
• Report equipment deficiencies to supervisor.
