Job summary

SA Recycling LLC seeks a yard worker to weigh vehicles, grade metals, handle required paperwork, and coordinate with dispatch and drivers. You will help customers with needs and maintain safety and organization in a busy scrap yard environment.

Responsibilities include end-of-day reporting, inventory sorting, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental policies. The role requires attention to detail and reliable attendance in a full-time capacity.

Qualifications

• Bilingual abilities (English & Spanish) are a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively; understand directions and perform basic math.
• Willingness to learn metal sorting, identify colors/shapes/weights, maintain equipment and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Weigh vehicles full and empty to record purchases.
• Inspect and determine metal grade for inventory tracking.
• Handle paperwork for business, delivery transactions and required docs.
• Communicate with dispatch and truck drivers to schedule deliveries and volumes.
• Interact with customers regarding objectionable materials and needs.
• Assist customers to satisfy their requirements and resolve issues.
• Organize materials to maximize space and ensure swift work.
• Process end-of-day totals and reports.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness in the yard and workplace.
