Job summary

Radius Recycling in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Picker to discard or remove products and materials to meet specifications while adhering to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. The role requires the ability to perform physical activities that use arms and legs, including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

You will work in a yard setting, supporting Environmental and H&S, Operations, and Equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• Follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions.
• Ability to learn new tasks as assigned.
• Experience in a scrap yard preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Metals Recycling H&S standards.
• Maintains yard: digs, sweeps, weeds removal, and repaving.
• Removes non-metallic material, metal, and debris at belts.
• Greasing and clean up at shear/shredder.
• Assists with repairs and maintenance as required.
• Provides backup across the yard as needed.
