Job description

Matern Staffing is hiring a Scrap Machine Operator for a cable manufacturing facility in Culpeper, VA. The Scrap Machine Operator operates and monitors equipment used to process scrap material and prepares reels for continued production.

As a Scrap Machine Operator, your reliability, attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to safety help keep the production process running efficiently. This position offers the opportunity to transition to a full-time Production Operator position for employees who demonstrate strong attendance and productivity.

• $18/hr

Schedule:

• Training will be on first shift Monday-Friday, 7:50am-4:00pm.
• Once trained, positions will be available on first, second, and third shifts:
• 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:50am-4:00pm
• 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 3:50pm-12:00am
• 3rd Shift: Sunday-Thursday, 9:50pm-6:00am

What You'll Do:

• Use a hoist to load scrap reels onto the scrap processing machine
