Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum five (5) years endoscopic instrument processing experience.
  • Candidate must hold at least two certifications (Endoscope Reprocessing: CER/CFER or Sterile Processing: CRCST/CSPDT).

Responsibilities

  • Clean and disinfect endoscopes and accessories using high-level disinfection.
  • Maintain function and integrity of endoscopes and processing room equipment.
  • Perform departmental quality assurance audits and document into the instrument management system.
  • Track data logs, order supplies through the supply chain, coordinate repair of scopes and manage loaners with vendors.
  • Serve as the primary preceptor for lower-level staff, providing guidance and training.

The Scope Processing Technician III cleans and disinfects using high-level disinfection a variety of endoscopes and accessories. This expert role builds upon the skills and experience gained from a Scope Technician I and II. It includes maintaining proper function and integrity of all endoscopes and equipment in the processing room, completing tasks such as performing departmental quality assurance audits and documentation into the instrument management system, tracking data logs, ordering supplies through the supply chain process, coordinating repair of scopes and managing loaners with vendors, and serves as the primary preceptor for lower-level staff, providing guidance and training to new or existing scope technicians.

Education

Minimum requirement: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.

Work Experience

Minimum five (5) years endoscopic instrument processing experience required.

Required Licensure, Certification, On-going Training

Candidate must hold at least two certifications.

Acceptable Certifications
  • Endoscope Reprocessing: CER through HSPA or CFER through CBSPD
  • Sterile Processing: CRCST through HSPA or CSPDT through CBSPD
Shift

Rotating Shift (11 am - 7:30 pm)

Salary Range

Minimum 23.54/hour - Maximum 38.54/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
